We offer beginner groups for new players and improver and intermediate lessons to help existing players grow their love of the game. Read on for details and some testimonials from our past students!

Beginner lessons
Small-group beginner courses are offered throughout the year at Peninsula Bridge Club in the Nelson Heather Centre, Warriewood. Currently we offer 10-12 on Mondays and Wednesdays and at 7-9 on Monday evenings.
Describing Balanced Opening Hands
12-14 Open 1 of a suit & rebid 1NT (1♣ p 1♥ p 1NT)
15-17 Open 1NT
18-19 Open 1 of a suit & jump to 2NT (1♣ p 1♥ p 2NT)
20-21 Open 2NT
22-24 Open 2♣ (Game Force) and rebid 2NT
25 + Open 2♣ (Game Force) and rebid 3NT
Peninsula has developed a Basic System Card that summarises what our beginner and improver programs teach. It can be used for events or sections targeting our beginner/improver players.
Peninsula, in its core education programs, adopts and teaches the ABF standard teaching curriculum in line with the Joan Butts ABF full curriculum from beginner through to more advanced systems and conventions. These summaries of the teaching curriculum might be useful for many purposes, such as informing buddies within the Buddy Program.

Peninsula Bridge Club, an ABF Accredited Teaching club, will help you. We focus both on beginners and on those already on this lifelong learning path. You don't need to be a member to learn with us but members do enjoy reduced fees. We hope you will play with us afterwards.
